The Beast from the East - Follow Up

Date Added: 02/03/2018

The first day of March was an interesting day, to say the least, with the temperature being the coldest day on record for the month. Our team were battling -4 temperatures and 45mph winds drifting the snow from fields, whilst trying to help clear the snow drifts from the county’s roads.

We had a tractor with a snow plough out on the roads from 3am, with more of our tractors and teleporters joining it from 6am until late afternoon to clear the A52 and other roads Butterwick to Wainfleet. Stranded drivers were even dug out or towed to clearer roads too.
