Freezing start to February

Date Added: 04/02/2019

February has arrived and whilst some of the country has experienced a cold snowy start to the month, here in Lincolnshire we have had a few sharp frosts and a light dusting of snow. However milder and wetter weather is on the forecast for the next week or so.

Lots of our Lincolnshire fields are changing over from old season crops and the land is being prepped for new season planting, which will hopefully commence at the end of this month.
In Autumn we drilled grass into certain fields to increase Fibre in the soil and over the next few weeks this will be ploughed back into the fields ready for the planting season.

Cornish Cauliflower is in full production and will see us through until the end of February, when Lincolnshire Cauliflower will be ready.

Purple Sprouting Broccoli is currently in it's natural season and will continue to be up until April.
It is at it's best at this time of year, so it is incredibly tasty plus it's in good supply and of high quality.
PSB is great as a side dish and can accompany most meals however it is also a great addition to many salads, stir-fries and pasta dishes.
Follow our Twitter page to discover new and exciting ways to cook Purple Sprouting Broccoli and all the other fresh vegetables we offer.

Finally, TH Clements will be exhibiting at Fruit Logistica this month. It is the leading global fresh produce business trade fair and is expecting to have approx 3,200 exhibitors with over 78,000 visitors going through the doors over the show's three days.
If you're visiting Fruit Logistica which is held in Berlin from 6th-8th February, come and visit TH Clements on our stand A.04 in Hall 7.2b.
